高大帅气的明肃，父母是极地探险队员，去过南极，喜马拉雅山等地区去探险。在明肃十岁的时候，父母在一次探险中失踪了，父母留给他一些探险日记，被他视为珍宝，他开始钻研与极地探险有关的知识，了解许多野外探险的生存技能。他想要重走父母探险的路，寻找他们失踪的原因。

到了岛上，他觉得自己是所有人中最有能力的人，自认为博学，对别人显得不屑一顾，十分清高，自私，不合群，遇到事情的时候喜欢独来独往，我行我素。在天晨的意外后，他顶替天晨成为了正义联盟的领袖人物，带领队员继续寻找能量块。
